Daikin Oterra Series Mini Split Air Conditioners

The new Daikin Oterra Series boasts R-32 low-GWP refrigerant. R32 is up to 12% more efficient than R410A, resulting in lower Global Warming Potential (GWP). The lower the GWP, the better for the environment. The Oterra Series provides energy-efficient comfort control for a single zone. This 115 Volt single zone system features inverter technology with air conditioning and a heat pump. Each single-zone system comes complete with an indoor and outdoor unit, as well as a remote. The updated design of the wall-mounted FTXQ09ASBU9 pairs with a quiet, compact outdoor unit (RXQ09ASBU9). This unit offers 9,000 BTUs cooling capacity and 10,900 BTUs heating. It boasts an EER2 of 12.0, SEER2 rating of 20.0, and an HSPF2 of 9.0.

Year-Round Comfort

An inverter compressor helps to minimize temperature fluctuations by providing ideal amount of comfort, continuously. Rather than a hard stop when the set temperature is achieved, the compressor is continually cycling up and down to maintain your set comfort level. The Oterra Series will cool when outdoor temperatures are from 50°F up to 115°F and will heat when outdoor temperatures are between 5°F and 65°F. The Oterra FTXQ**ASBU9 / RTQ**ASBU9 single zone systems work with standard 115V HH electrical. Oterra  115 volt single zone systems are available in 9,000 and 12,000 BTUs. This system is the 9,000 BTU system.

Outstanding Features

In addition to its modern styling with wipe clean flat panel, the Oterra Series is WiFi compatible with the addition of the AZAI6WSCDKB adapter. This adapter gives you access to the DKN Cloud App. The DKN Cloud App gives you the ability to control you system from anywhere. It also makes your system compatible with several Daikin One Thermostats. These are Cloud Connected thermostats that also allow you to give your contractor access to Daikin One services through the app. The app will notify the contractor when your system needs maintenance as well as providing performance information. 

One of the newest features with this system is the SIGNA flareless adapters. The flareless adapters are included with the outdoor unit and they eliminated the need to flare your lines when connecting the line sets. This allows you to cut the line set (with a proper tool), connect and tighten for a quick installation.
